A WOMAN OF NEW RUSSIA: WHAT IS SHE LIKE? WHAT IS HER LIFE LIKE? WHAT ARE THE GOALS SHE IS GAINING?

The life value which stands apart and is not connected directly with any of the types is love. Sounds strange, but the women who have already found true love are career-oriented. While "house-wives" and especially "dispirited" have the highest percentage among the women who even don't try to do it. High percentage of them would like to find true love, but think that they will not succeed. Partially such difference can be explained by the fact that "careerists" and "hard-workers" consist mostly of the women under 30, and "house-wives" and "dispirited" - over 30 (see Table 3). Nevertheless, career-driven women have the highest degree in orientation to true love.

How possible is it to realize their diverse ambitions? The realizations of which of them look like real to them, and which of them seem impossible to come true in advance?

According to the Table 1, among the ambitions which are not possible to be realized from the point of view of Russian women come first: to travel all over the world (56,5%), to get a prestigious job (43,0%), to have a separate flat (30,9%), to run own business (27,7%), to do work according to the interests (26,5%). All the rest for more than a quarter of Russian women seem either reachable or not worth their attention.

As we see the chances of realization this or those ambitions of Russian women are remarkably lower than the level of their prior hope which thy have in the young age.

At the same time the chances depend on the type the women belong to. For example, "careerists", though they mostly refer to the younger age-groups, regarding the most of the life ambitions have already gained the results which are either comparable or even higher than the results of "house-wives" , although the latter have larger life- experience. So, a quarter of "careerists" and only 1,2 % of "house-wives" have a prestigious job, 18,7% and 1,7% accordingly - their own business; 17,3% and 0,7% have already made a successful career; 40,2% and 13,7% do what they really enjoy; 11,6% and 3,1% traveled to different countries of the World; 39,6% and 14,9% have an interesting job; 41,6% and 9,3% have already managed to join the right stratum of the society; 44,5% at 17,0% live "not worse than the others". The women, who are work-oriented have higher results in reaching their goals than the "house-wives".

More than that, if we can count the percent of the women who thinks that they have a happy family among "careerists" and "house-wives" , we can see that women "careerists" are more successful in happy marriages. The same tendencies (though in more mild form) take place among the women who are oriented to have an interesting-work.

So what is that barrier that separates Russian women into two so un-proportional parts in their chances of reaching success in different spheres of life? As it was shown by the research, the most important factor, which defines the success of Russian women life goals is the level of their education. (see Table 5)

As we can see, at the groups with unfinished secondary education, with secondary and college education, most women are "house-wives" (and even more than most in the group with unfinished secondary education). But if a woman has at least unfinished Bachelor's Degree, the range of her life values turns to be much wider and the percent of reaching them also turns to be much higher.

So, Bachelor's Degree is not only the most important reason for successful realization in professional sphere or for making a good career. But actually it becomes a real identity card for them to another, more colorful and intense life, another social surrounding., where the relationships between a man and a woman, a husband and a wife, between friends have absolutely another quality and the opportunity to have multifaceted and happy life grows rapidly. That is why it is not surprising that regardless to payment for their work in future, Russian women are eager to have a Bachelor's Degree and these are mostly women who have Bachelor's Degree among the citizens of the country.
