The Victory Day 2003
"Nobody and Nothing is forgotten..."
We have a "Victory" boulvard in Gomel. Each fourth tree on that street is a "weeping willow" to the honour of the people who has been murdered during the World War II. Why each fourth? Because according to the statistic, Belarus had lost each fourth person during that horrorable war.This year we've celebrated 58th anniversary of our Great Victory. 58 years is kind of the term... However we do rememeber what happened to our country back in 40th as this experience is unforgetable. Fortunately there are still enough people of honour, who can tell us about the various feats of arm they took part in or have been a witness of. However less and less of them are coming to the parade each year. This is sad, but such is life... May this page to be a sign of our deep respect and gratitude to all of them - the living and the fallen!
